We all have an essential view of the universe—how it was formed and our place in it. Intentionally or unintentionally, these views shape how we read the Bible, so it is helpful to be aware of our preconceived assumptions. In this class, the goal is to understand what Genesis 1 is saying about the universe on its own terms.
