The Systems Administrator is a key part of the Studio Technology team, responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability, performance, and security of BibleProject’s core IT infrastructure that provides the foundation for day-to-day operations throughout the studio.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network, and storage systems, both on-premises and in the cloud
Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of security, IAM, and UEM systems
Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current technology pipeline
Troubleshoot issues and outages as the primary contact for staff Help Desk
Perform proper intake, triage, troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution for all technical issues
Provide documentation and technical specifications to executive and technical staff for planning and implementation of new and/or upgraded IT infrastructure
Assist in custom workstation builds and technology purchasing
Manage backup/archival process, design, test, and document retrieval and disaster recovery procedures
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, MIS, or Computer Science or three years’ experience in a Help Desk role
Comfortable in a mixed OS environment - Windows, macOS, Linux
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a high emotional intelligence
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage work assignments
Demonstrated ability to research, collect, and analyze requirements, specifications, and/or related data
A team player with a collaborative, can-do attitude

Tape/cloud archival systems
Scripting and automation tools: Python, Bash, Powershell
Experience with Help Desk systems: Jira, Zendesk, etc.
Location This position is full-time and will operate out of our office in Portland, Oregon, beginning May 2020. You'll be working in collaboration with the Studio Technology team and reporting to the Director of Studio Technology.
