Help with Email

I signed up to receive emails, but I haven’t received anything yet. What should I do?

There are a few troubleshooting steps you can take, depending on the situation:

  • You accidentally signed up with the wrong email address (ex. ".con" instead of ".com").
    • Try entering your email address again.
  • If you use the Gmail email client (i.e. your email address ends in @gmail.com), our emails might be getting sent to your Promotions folder.
    • Check your Promotions folder. Search for “BibleProject.”
  • Our emails might be getting sent to your Spam folder.
    • Check your Spam folder. Search for “BibleProject.”
  • You’ve unsubscribed from our email lists before.
    • Search for a past email from us, scroll to the bottom, and click “Update Preferences.” This will open a page where you can check the box of which email lists you want to be on.

Didn’t help? Here’s what might have happened and the steps we’ll need to take:

  • You might have a smaller email client with out-of-date spam filters that forced a hard bounce when we tried to send you an email. This usually happens with custom email clients that are not Gmail, Yahoo, or a larger organization’s email provider.
  • Or, you might have opted out of our email lists before by clicking “Opt out of all email communication” from the manage email preferences menu.

In either case, go ahead and select the “Need Technical Assistance” option from the Contact Us form so that one of our Support Team members can opt you back in!

Why hasn’t this week’s reading plan email arrived yet?

The reading plan emails are scheduled to arrive each week, starting from the date and time you signed up. Unfortunately, if you signed up later than January 1st, the pace at which you receive the reading plan emails will not match the calendar year.

For example, if you signed up on January 4th, here is a schedule that should reflect the send dates of the first three emails:

  • January 4 - Week 1
  • January 11 - Week 2
  • January 18 - Week 3

If 7 days have already passed from the time you signed up, here are some other reasons you might not have received this week’s reading plan email:

I would like to start the Read Scripture plan at a specific point in the Bible.

Unfortunately at this time, we cannot start you at a specific point. You will have to start at the beginning to follow along with our email-based plan. You are always welcome to download the “Read Scripture app” to start where you like and read at your own pace!

You are always welcome to subscribe multiple emails to receive our updates. However, if you would like to stop one and replace the email altogether, just let us know what email you are currently using and which one you would like to change it to by sending them to info@bibleproject.com.
