Help with Donations

How can I donate?

Thank you for your interest in donating to our studio! There are several ways to donate:

  • You can set up a one-time or recurring donation on our Give page
  • You can also give through PayPal. For more information about donating to us through PayPal, please visit this link: https://thebibleproject.com/paypal/
  • You can even send send a BillPay check to our studio address! Bill pay is a free service offered by most banks and credit unions by which they mail a check on your behalf and we, in turn, receive 100% of your donation (we still track it digitally too)!

Are my donations tax-deductible if I file for taxes outside of the US?

It depends! There are a couple of organizations we work with that can send us your donation on your behalf and send you tax information in return. Available options are listed below:

If giving from the UK:

You can receive a tax deduction by giving through Stewardship, a UK-based charity. You can set up your donation, here: www.give.net/20178550.

If giving from Canada:

You can receive a tax deduction by giving through the Great Commission Foundation. You can set up your donation, here: https://gcfcanada.com/bibleproject/

Please note: Per these organizations' guidelines, we are unable to send patron perks, such as the coffee table book, to those who give through these organizations.

How do I get my tax statement?

If you provided your email address at the time of giving, a guest account was automatically created for you, where your donation report can be found.

If you have registered your giving account already, you can go ahead and sign-in with the email associated with your donation on the Login page.

If you have not registered your giving account yet, you can do so on the Register page. On this page, please select “Sign Up with Email” and include the email address associated with your donation and a password for your account.

If you’re unsure whether or not you included your email address at the time of giving, or if you need any help, please select the “Donation Inquiry” option from the Contact Us form. A Support Team member would be happy to help you with this!

Don't see all your donations? This means you have donated from another e-mail address, or multiple e-mail addresses, and we need to associate your donations under this one account.

Go to your account page HERE and scroll down to the donation section, then click on "add another email" to add up to 2 additional emails associated with your donations.

Still don't see it? It can take some time for donations from the last two years to sync with account changes. You should be able to generate a report HERE no later than 24 hours after upodates.

How do I cancel my recurring donation?

If you set up your recurring donation on our Give page, you can cancel it by logging into your website account with the email address associated with your giving.

If you have registered your giving account already:

  • Sign-in with the email associated with your donation on the Login page.
  • If you've forgotten your password, you can click on the blue "Forgot Password?" link on the log-in page in order to request a password reset.

If you have not registered your giving account yet:

  • Visit the Register page.
  • On this page, please select “Sign Up with Email” and include the email address associated with your donation and a password for your account.

After you've logged in:

  • Scroll down the account page to the "Active Donations" section.
  • Clicking on the "i" icon to the very left of your donation details will open up a menu with the option to "Delete this donation subscription."

If you need any help, please select the “Donation Inquiry” option from the Contact Us form. A Support Team member would be happy to help you with this!

If you've set up your monthly donation through PayPal, you will need to cancel it through your PayPal account.

You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Log-in to PayPal.
  2. Click the gear setting in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This will take you to your profile.
  3. Click on the "payments" tab.
  4. Click "manage automatic payments"
  5. On the left side column, click on the automatic payment associated with The Bible Project.
  6. To the very right of the status row, click "cancel."

I would like to change my credit card number and/or update my account information.

If you haven’t already, the first step is to sign up with the email address connected to your donation by creating an account. From there, you will need to navigate to the account tab in your portal, click the info icon next to the subscription you would like to modify, or cancel.

Where can I find my donation history?

You can login to your account, or you can create an account if you have not created an account before. Once you have signed in to your portal, click on the account tab on the top left. From there, you should be able to view your Order and Donation History, assuming you used the same email for these transactions.

I am missing donation information, or it is inaccurate.

If you have an active recurring donation but do not see it listed under your “account” tab in your portal, you may have donated using a different email address. You can add another email at the bottom of your account page to associate those donations with your account.

If you previously subscribed or donated through PayPal, you can manage your subscription and history through the PayPal website. If you’d like to use an easier tracking system, you can cancel your PayPal subscription and donate on our website.

I would like to fund an entire video. How much do they cost to make?

The videos vary quite a bit in cost, and due to revisions, we often don't know the cost until we're finished. Generally, our simplest videos run between $6,000 and $12,000 per finished minute. With the cost being so high, we've found that the most helpful long-term solution is for patrons to set up a smaller monthly contribution, which then helps with our videos, podcasts, and other resources that we produce regularly. That way, our group of monthly supporters are able to carry the load longer than we could if we needed to find a group or individual to sponsor each project themselves. A note: if the total cost of our videos seems like a lot, consider that an animated children’s television cartoon runs around $1M to complete, minimum.

Can I donate in a currency other than US dollars?

Yes! We can accept a wide range of currencies. However, please note that donation amounts that are entered on our Give page will be treated as $USD.

To find the $USD equivalent of your desired gift amount, you can use a currency conversion website, such as this one. Once you’ve converted the amount into $USD, you can enter the amount into the "Other Amount" field on the donation form.

How can I designate funds for a specific project?

At this time, we are not able to designate gifts toward a specific project, and all of our efforts are funded from our general budget.

However, as you give to BibleProject you are helping to fund ongoing production efforts that enable us to make the biblical story accessible around the world!

Can I set up my donation over the phone?

Yes! If you would like to set up a donation over the phone, please follow these steps:

  1. Select the “Donation Inquiry” option from our Contact Us form.
  2. In your message, let us know that you’re wanting to set up a donation over the phone.
  3. Include your phone number and two to three windows when we can reach you.
